As a Financial Advisor, Amanda’s approach to financial planning and money management is anything but traditional. Amanda believes that everyone should have access to unbiased financial advice, and should have the opportunity to “date” their advisor, starting with a comprehensive financial plan, before jumping into “marriage” (asset management). Specializing in supporting clients going through emotional transitions, from challenging job transitions to growing families, sticky divorces and those navigating the transition to retirement, Amanda is there to hold their hands through life’s changes, and help them create financial strategies
that align with their values, dreams, and aspirations.
Amanda’s zeal for the problem-solving side of money management can be traced back to the start of her career in audit and compliance. While she loved the analytical side of things, she quickly realized that audit and compliance is a whole lot of telling people what NOT to do — instead of what they could do! She sought out a change and discovered her true vocation in personal finance and wealth management. This defining moment transformed the way Amanda approaches every client she serves. She noticed a need for more personal, empathetic relationships within the financial industry, and didn’t want to simply instruct her clients on how to manage their wealth – rather, she wanted to measure the impact of the decisions they were facing, so they could make informed and empowered decisions.
Amanda is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®), and she holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 65 registrations, as well as Life, Heath, and Long-Term Care Insurance licenses.
You can also find Amanda teaching and competing in West Coast Swing dancing, leisurely rollerblading around San Diego, traveling to her favorite destinations for downhill skiing, hosting Scotch whisky tastings, and hanging out with her favorite companions, Laddie and Piper, a pair of Black Russian Terriers.
